Bob and Lawriece Durham
Bible Warehouse began in 1983 when Bob Durham, at the age of 50, ac¬cepted Jesus as his Savior. He had a de¬sire to spread the gospel but real¬ized he didn’t know God’s Word well enough to preach. He felt the Lord calling him into a ministry of helps and decided to distribute Bibles. He shared this idea with a pastor Bob and Lawriece Durham who gave him 11 Bibles that had been left on the church bus. Bob began by distributing those 11 Bibles and ended up having distributed over 2 million Bibles and scripture books before his death, at age 65, in 1998.
Bob had a love in his heart for the people of Cuba. He had sailed to that island many times when he was younger, before the U.S. em¬bargo was imposed.  To minister in the Caribbean, Bob established a minis¬try called Island Missions. With this ministry he distributed Bibles, started a daily radio program broadcast from the island of Roatan, built and furnished a 10-room hospital on the Mosquito Coast, provided the JESUS film and projection equipment to 14 mis¬sionaries, and acquired a U.S. treasury department license to minister in Cuba. In Cuba he established a humanitarian ministry of aid to a leprosy hospital, helped build a Bible College, helped build a church building, and opened the door for spreading the gospel through sev-eral home churches. During this time Bob met and married Lawriece. She was his constant travel companion on the mission field.

Bob was the son of Albert and Ava Durham. Albert and his brother Floyd traveled our nation planting churches of the Apostolic and Full Gospel faiths. Albert sat under Charles Parham and was ordained by Reverend Parham in the 1920’s. Albert named Bob after Parham’s son, Robert Lee.
